2 Duck Goose serves indescribably delicious food; whether Chinese, Asian or American. Hong Kong-style Char Sui Pork and Cantonese Roast Duck are constants, with pork and duck that are pasture raised, processed humanely and free of antibiotics or growth hormones. In season we are inspired by what farmers bring to the market; greens, vegetables, herbs and fruit all grown locally and mostly organic. The restaurant makes ice creams and sorbets in-house and a show stopping layer cake or fruit tart is always on offer.
A carefully chosen list of wines and beers, suited to our americanized asian style of cooking changes with the seasons. We shake cocktails made with our own secret elixirs and infusions.

Kay Ch'ien Founder/Partner
Greenwood trained in Paris and cooked in London, San Francisco, Santa Fe and Key West before opening her own restaurants in Washington, DC - Buck's Fishing & Camping and Comet Ping Pong. She grew up fighting over dumplings and wontons with her brothers and sister in the Chinese restaurants of New York City. The tastiest memories from those meals infuse the cooking at 2 Duck Goose. Chef Greenwood was nominated for a James Beard Award in 2009.
Kay had a big appetite growing up in Hong Kong. As a small child, she'd devour steaming plates of local fish, and giant platters of roast duck. When she moved to New York, she found herself craving that and more. After a stint as an attorney, she decided to satisfy her unsatisfied craving for good sweet and sour pork by opening 2 Duck Goose. She found a spot in Gowanus, and the restaurant was born, with a mission of bringing 'americanized' chinese cooking to NYC.

We keep most of our tables for walk-in guests, but we gladly accept reservations for parties up to six via OpenTable. If no reservations are available via OpenTable, please do walk-in or email or call to ask about availability.

We now deliver via Caviar on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Takeout is also available on those nights.
